Contest Winner
The prize for the winner is a fully supported and funded drive on a National Rally, in the USA.
Prize estimated value: $25,000
Winner will get the use of a fully prepared National spec rally car with a World Rally Championship experienced professional co-driver, professional support crew with World Rally Championship experience, and a full professional support truck.
All National drive running costs will be
covered by ERS, which includes: use of
National spec rally
car, NASA rally drivers license, rally
entry fees with pace notes, rally
driving suit, helmet, rally driving gloves, rally driving boots,
lodging and meals during the rally drive.
Bonus: a pace note test session with pro co-driver and private instruction in the National spec rally car prior to the National rally.
Contest Details
Three rounds, scheduled September through December 2009.
Round 1, 1 day $350. September date TBD (Best 64)
Round 2, 1 day $350, November date TBD (Best 32)
Round 3, FREE, December date TBD (Best 8 finalists)
Rallydrive USA First 20 early entries get to pick the day they compete in Round 1.
Each entrant will receive: Full In-Car 1 to 1
Instruction, Rally Driving Course, Classroom Instruction, Media
Course and Rally Driving History in the USA. All equipment for competition is supplied by
contest sponsors: rally cars, helmets, intercoms, fire suits, etc.
During each round the entrant will receive driver in-car 1 to 1 instruction. Afterwards, each entrant will be assessed and graded for possible advancement to the next round. As the rounds progress, the rally driver training becomes more advanced. Assessments by RallydriveUSA judges will determine if the entrant will move on to the next round. Entrants will be graded on their drive ability, personality, understanding of the rally sport and creative media presence.
Only thirty-two entrants will be advanced to round two. Only
eight entrants will be advanced to third round. Those eight
entrants will be competing in the finals. (Round three is free.)
All contest rounds will be held at European Rally School & Motorsport Park in Starke, Florida. Entry into First Round is only $350. Concessions on-site for lunch during contest rounds.
- No guests or pets will be allowed during competition rounds.
- Contest entrants are responsible for travel, gas, housing and meals expenses.
- No drugs or alcohol allowed on premises.
- Event sponsor reserves the right to refuse entries.
Fall 2009-Competition starts September 2009!
Spring 2009-Winner will be announced May 1st, 2009!
Entrant Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must bring valid driver’s license to each round attending
- International entrants must bring valid passport to each round attending
- Must wear long pants, long shirt and closed toed shoes for competition rounds
- Register online, payment is due at time of registration. First Round is only $350
- Winner must be able to obtain NASA competition license if chosen as the winner (see rules: NASAPro Racing)
